Remains Of Missing Cumberland Woman Found In Anderson County

A silver alert issued in June has been resolved after the remains of a missing Cumberland County woman identified. Remains found earlier this month in Anderson County were confirmed Tuesday as 71-year-old Sue Ellen Corley. Corley had a medical condition that may have impaired her ability to return home, according to the TBI. She was reported missing on June 30th. Read More »

Putnam Sales Tax Revenue Ends Fiscal Year Up 11 Percent

Putnam County saw an 11.6 percent increase in sales tax revenue for the 2021-22 fiscal year. Some $44 million dollars compared to $39 million last fiscal year. White Co Commissioners Approve New Attendance Policy

The White County Commission has passed a new attendance policy that will dock a commissioner’s pay for not attending meetings. Commission Chair Stanley Neal said three commissioners have not attended meetings since fall of last year. At Monday’s meeting, five commissioners were absentee but still received pay. Livingston Receives Grant To Help With Home Repairs

Livingston has received a $500,000 grant to assist city residents that need home repairs.
