The city of Monterey completed the next step in connecting its city assets with walking trials and sidewalk. Stubbs Construction of Crossville won the bid to construct sidewalks to provide safe walkways for students of Burks Elementary and Monterey High School. The Overton County Highway Commission has selected the bid winner for a Federal Off-System Bridge Replacement project at Carr Creek. Overton County Highway Superintendent James Norrod said Twin K Construction won the bid at around $1.6 million. Get your pets vaccinated this weekend through Putnam County’s 2020 Rabies Clinics. Tennessee law requires all dogs and cats over six months of age to be vaccinated every year.
