Cookeville Police have charged an Antioch man with solicitation of a minor for rape of a child.
Officers arrested 30-year-old Justin Garrett Mack Thursday morning after he traveled to Cookeville to complete a sexual act with a child.
According to a press release from the Cookeville Police Department, Mack solicited a law enforcement officer posing as a minor. He faces an additional charge of sexual exploitation of a minor by electronic means.
The release said Mack is a registered sex offender with a prior charge of criminal attempt to commit child molestation. He was arrested in Georgia in 2011 during a similar undercover investigation.
Mack is being held at the Putnam County Jail on $100,000 bond and will be extradited to Georgia to face other charges.
