Algood Searching For Official Public Works Director Candidates

City of Algood searching for a new permanent Public Works Director.

Walt Bradshaw has been serving as the interim director since Victor Jones was arrested last December.  City Administrator Keith Morrison said the city will utilize MTAS to help in the search for candidates both internally and externally of the department.

“Somebody that can operate some equipment that can perform field assignments who can work with employees and staff,” Morrison said. “They’re primarily going to work outside with and supervising employees because were a small department so we’re going to look for someone that’s not afraid to get out and get dirty working with these guys.”

Morrison said the city had previously utilized MTAS in the search for a new Police Chief, which resulted in the hiring of Chief Dale Armour. He said they were pleased with how that process turned, and believe it will be a benefit as they move forward to fill the Public Works Director position.

Morrison said the application will be open until March 23rd, but the city does not have a set deadline to fill the position following that. For more information, Morrison said to visit algood-tn.com.
