Algood Officials Want To Make Saturday’s Fall Festival An Annual Event

Algood bringing back its Fall Festival this Saturday after it did not happen for the past several years.

Parks And Recreation Director Roy Phipps said the city wants to host the event annually moving forward. This year, it will be held at the Algood Ball Park and Historic White Plains House.

“Our let Freedom Ring event is always a big hit, and we want for people that live in Algood and all the surrounding areas that enjoy that to be able to come over at different times of the year and enjoy different times,” Phipps said.

Phipps said there will be activities from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for young and old people alike. Phipps said the city will have food and craft vendors, pumpkin painting and live music. Phipps said there will be free hay rides running all day to transport festival goers across town.
