A Saturday morning wreck along Dodson Branch Road in Putnam County resulted in multiple injuries.
The accident happened around 11:00am near West Cemetery Road when a vehicle driven by 80-year-old Wyang “Keith” Allison of Cookeville pulled onto State Route 135 in front of a vehicle driven by
39-year old Brandon Burgess.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the vehicles came to rest in the roadway blocking both lanes of travel.
Allison was transported to Cookeville Regional before being airlifted to Nashville’s Vanderbilt Medical Center. A passenger, Margaret Allison, was also transported to Cookeville Regional. Burgess also transported to Cookeville Regional.
Keith Allison faces charges of failure to exercise care.
