Graveside services for Carl Glenn Franklin, age 81, of Cookeville, will be held on Tuesday May 9, 2023 at 2:00P.M. at the Cookeville City Cemetery. Bro. Dale Crossman will officiate at the service and the burial will follow at the Cemetery. Carl Franklin was born in Putnam County on May 19, 1941 and passed away on May 5, 2023 at the NHC Healthcare in Cookeville. Mr. Franklin retired as a Maintenance Worker for the City of Cookeville and was a member of the Jefferson Ave. Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by, one brother and one sister. He is survived by, one son and daughter in-law, Anthony and Rebecca Franklin, 3 grandchildren, Candace, Kelsey and Katelyn. He is also survived by special friends, Lavern and Judy Hix.
Funeral services for Mr. Roy Hunter, 81 of Cookeville will be held Wednesday May 10, 2023 at 11 am in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Cookeville City Cemetery. Roy died Sunday May 7, 2023 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. His family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 pm until 8 pm and Wednesday from 10 am until service time at the funeral home.
Funeral services for Joe Wayne Cantrell, better known as Wayne, age 82 of Sparta, will be conducted 1:00pm Wednesday, May 10, 2023 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Young Cemetery. Wayne passed away peacefully on May 7, 2023 surrounded by his family. Wayne was born on August 12, 1940 to the late Ernest Arvil “Joe” Cantrell and Ellon Lou Humphrey Cantrell. He was very much a proud Pa as he enjoyed nothing more than watching his granddaughters either on the softball field, basketball/volleyball court, stage, and track as he cheered them on in everything they did. Wayne loved SEC, Basketball, Football, Baseball, and Softball. He was a big supporter of the Green Bay Packers and Vanderbilt. He also loved to fish and camp with his family. You would not have known it, but Wayne was talented in the area of sewing and could make anything without a pattern.He was retired from ECMD. Prior to be coming a truck driver, he was a plant Mgr. USA Enterprise, LTW. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by brother Stevie Cantrell and sister Sandra Cantrell. Survived by his wife of 49 years: Hilda Cantrell; Son: Jessie Cantrell; Daughter: Jacqueline Cantrell Powell & her husband Jason (J.P.) Powell; Son: Michael Cantrell; Jennifer Phillippe, who he raised as his own daughter; Four amazing granddaughters: Amanda Cantrell, Breanna Powell, Treeah Powell, and Mila Cantrell. These girls were the love of his life. Wayne also had a special place in his heart for Bragan and Andy Southard and son, Owen Southard. The family will receive friends from 4-8:00pm Tuesday and after 11:00am Wednesday at Hunter Funeral Home.

Tavi passed from this life on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Livingston Regional Hospital. Tavi was born Thursday, March 27, 1969, in Indio, California, and she was the daughter of the late Gary Lee Houston and the late Betty Joanne (Wheeler) Houston. Tavi was a loving, caring, and helpful daughter, sister, wife, mother, Nana, and friend. She loved doing crafts, watching her TV shows, and being outside. She was a ray of sunshine to everyone she was around and brought joy to so many lives. Tavi is survived by, Husband of 26 years, Terry Ray Groce; Daughter, TanaRae Taylor Houston – Groce, and her fiance, Zachary Clay Fillers; Granddaughter, Everlee JoRae Fillers; 2 Step Sons, Trenton Ray Groce and his wife, Kaitlyn, and Trevor Raven Groce, and his partner, Courtney Cooksey; 4 Step Grandchildren, Audri, Alyssa, Hudson, and Rayleigh; Aunt, Cheryl Houston; Fur Baby, Gypsy; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends. Funeral Services for Mr. Luther Gene Coffee, age 80, of Livingston will be conducted 10 a.m., Friday, May 12, 2023, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home. Bro. Mark Neely will officiate. Burial to follow in the Coffee Cemetery. Mr. Coffee passed from this life on Sunday afternoon, May 7, 2023, from his home in Livingston. He was born August 7, 1942, in Livingston to the late Herman Finley and Haley Belle Pryor Coffee. Luther was a Heavy Equipment Operator for many years, and a member of the Summer Shade Church of Christ. He was a people person who enjoyed helping others, having coffee with his friends, catching up on the local talk, and collecting and trading pocket knives and old coins. His greatest joy was his family. Luther leaves behind his daughter, Robin Perdue of Livingston; sons, Timothy Coffee and wife Diann of Livingston, Herman Kevin Coffee and wife Angela of Hilham, and Daryl Anthony Coffee of Livingston; grandchildren, Wendy Maddox, Cindy Hudson, Tonya Zimmermann, Jimmy Cote, Jacob and Josh Coffee, Isaac Hargis, Nathan Hargis, Elijah Tate, Ayden Coffee, and Brodey Coffee; great grandchildren, Ava Coffee, Tyson Coffee, Lily Hargis, Caleb Hargis, and Quaid Hargis; 4 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Carver Hugh Coffee and wife Wanda of McCloud, OK; sister, Rebecca Dale Padgett of Cookeville; special friend, Oleta Collins of Livingston; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Luther was preceded in death by his daughters, Lisa Kay Coffee, and Janie Sue Cote; and nephew, Chris Greenwood. Shawn was born on January 17th, 1957 to Eugene and Mary Jo Rogers in Cookeville, the place he called home for most of his 66 years of life. He married the absolute love of his life, Ann. Together they had two children, Cameron Shawn Rogers and Ashton Rogers Hitchcock. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Ann Connell Rogers; his children, Cameron (Erin Hunter) Rogers and Ashton (Ammon) Hitchcock; his mother and brother, Mary Jo and Mark Rogers; his nephews, Shad (Diane) Shearer, Shay (Courtney) Shearer, and Justin Richardson; and his grandson, Rex Rogers Hitchcock. He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Rogers; his sister, Jenny Rogers Marshall; and his niece, Mary Mac Darnell.

He was born September 11, 1986, in Alton, IL, and he passed away on Friday, April 28, 2023 at his residence in Gainesboro. He was the son of Brantley Painter and the late Rachelle Johnson. He was a tattoo artist. Survivors include his Sons: Tyler Price and Braden Painter; Daughter: Alyssa Sidener; brothers: Caleb Springer, Jack Springer, Nathan Johnson, Alan Shoemaker, and Justin Price; Sister: Marissa Price; Father, Brantley Painter, Sr.; Girlfriend: Jamie Adcock; Pet: Biggie; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and lots of friends. The family has chosen cremation. Visitation will be Saturday from 1 P.M. until time of services.

She passed from this life Saturday, April 29, 2023, Born Sunday, May 26, 1946 in Compton, California , she was the daughter of the late Robert Lazalier and the late Jean Bartlett Sisler. Bonnie is survived by: 3 children: Renee Claborn Bennett and husband, Chip, Darrin Rich and wife, Jennifer; 2 step children, Trent and Rebekah) Jesse Rich and wife, Pam; 2 grandchildren, Ellen Rich and Taylor Claborn; 1 sister: Caroline Humphrey; 1 sister in law, Melody Lazalier; And several nieces and nephews.
