Work on the new Park View School is progressing.
Upland Design Architect Kim Chamberlin said the structure is beginning to look like an actual building.
“So we’re very pleased that that work’s been progressing,” Chamberlain said. “They will be starting the subsurface work toward the end of the month, so that work is progressing as well. So right now no issues being reported, everything is progressing well. So if you get a chance drive by.”
The Putnam County School Board approved payment of some $194,000 for wetland mitigation on the site. Chamberlain said the comment period ended Sunday and there were no issues.
Chamberlain said they are now awaiting final approval from TDEC which they expect any day. He said that will let the contractors begin work on the entire site.
