Algood Smoke Testing To Begin Wednesday

Smoke testing of sewer lines will begin Wednesday for multiple areas in Algood.

The Brookside Subdivision, Joy Lane and West Main Street from Cooper Road to Rileys Path could be affected. City officials ask homeowners in these areas to turn on unused sink or drains to prevent smoke entering the residence.

Smoke may appear through the roof of vents, which is normal. The smoke is not harmful and is used to identify leaks in the system. A fire risk is not present during the testing.
