Mountain Rhythms Concert In Monterey Headlining Craig Morgan Rescheduled

Monterey’s inaugural Mountain Rhythms Music Festival featuring Craig Morgan has been postponed.

The event was originally scheduled for October 7th. Mayor JJ Reels said the new show date comes Friday, October 29th.

“Something going on with Craig, and I am not sure exactly what it was,” Reels said. “But, he had to cancel seven concerts in the month of October, because he has another commitment.”

Reels said the concert will still be free to attend with VIP tickets available for purchase. Reels said he is confident that the show will happen.

“We’ve got a great group that is pretty much doing everything, so we are going forward and making arrangements for everything to happen on the 29th,” Reels said. “The contract is signed and everything is ready to go.”

Chris Landers of Magna 1 Lubricants organized the event with Monterey committing $30,000. Reels said with so much time and money invested, it is important to have a successful performance.

“It’s very important to go ahead and get this going and have this concert for the people of Monterey,” Reels said. “Everybody has been through a lot the last year and a half, so it is important that we have this and give the people of Monterey something they have never had up here before.”
