Bill Monroe, 56, of Cookeville passed away on Wednesday, January 13. Bill was a loving husband and father. He also loved going on cruises, and was an avid Steelers fan. Survivors include his loving wife of 32 years, Mary Monroe; and daughter, Allison Monroe. Bill had chosen cremation as his wish no services planned at this time.
Funeral Services for Elvis Presley, age 42 of Sparta, will be Thursday January 14, 2021 at 6:00 P.M. at Old Bethel Baptist Church in Sparta, TN. 498 Bethel Hollow Rd, Quebeck. He passed away on January 7, 2021 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He was born on December 19,1978 in Sparta, TN to James Presley and Betty Duncan. He is survived by his wife of 11 years Bobbi Sue Presley. Visitation will be held Thursday January 14, 2021 at 5:00 P.M. till 6:00 P.M. at Old Bethel Baptist Church in Sparta.
Celebration of Life Services for William “Gruder” Cornelius Carmack, age 90 of Livingston, will be held 1 p.m., Friday, January 151 from the Overton County Memorial Gardens, with Military Honors provided at graveside by the Overton County Veterans Honor Guard. Bro. Roy Lee Seber, and Bro. John Keith will officiate. Mr. Carmack passed away Wednesday, January 13. He the youngest of 10 children to James Robert and Dora Hawkins Carmack. He graduated from Livingston Academy in 1949, then attended Tennessee Tech University. He was drafted to the Army during the Korean Conflict, serving our great Country for 2 years. After leaving the Army, he began working with the State of Tennessee Highway Department, where he worked for almost 40 years. Mr. Carmack was a member of the Hilham United Methodist Church in Hilham, TN, a church very dear to the Carmack family for many generations. Gruder is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Dalphine Ledbetter Carmack; daughters, Deborah Seber & husband Roy, Martha Roberson and husband John, and Cynthia Pryor and husband JD. The family would like to thank the staff of Livingston Regional Hospital and Sumner Regional Hospital for their loving careand a special thank you to Paramedic, Michael Wilson. The family will welcome friends at the Graveside.
Graveside Services for Edward Robert Newman, age 66 of Sparta, will be Friday January 15, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at the private family cemetery located at 210 Earl Ln, Doyle, TN 38559. He passed away on January 9, 2021 at Crossville Medical Center in Crossville, TN. He was born on July 31,1955 in Davie, FL to Robert and Florence Newman. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Newman; daughters, Teresa Rogers, Sky Smith, Jasmine Rawlings, Aliegha Newman; sons, Dominic Newman, Thomas Rawlings Jr. The family would ask that all who attend would be mindful that Covid-19 is still out there and among us to please practice social distancing and the use of masks.

Mrs. Rockwell died Saturday January 2 at her residence. Her family will receive friends Friday, January 15 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the church.
Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Gill, age 83 of Monterey, will be Saturday, January 16 at 11:00 am from the Chapel of Horner Funeral Home. Barbara died Monday morning, January 11, 2021 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 am until service time at the funeral home.
