Starbucks Coming To Willow Avenue

A new starbucks will open soon in the Willow Bend Shopping Center near the corner of Willow and Jackson.

Cookeville Planning Director Jon Ward said a traffic study revealed an additional right turn lane will be needed at the southern entrance.

“The recommendations from that study were that a dedicated right turn lane needed to be constructed at the southern entrance into that development on Willow Avenue,” Ward said. “The plat that was recorded was associated with that to accommodate that additional turn lane.”

Ward said the plans for the Starbucks location have been approved but a building permit has yet to be applied for by the owners. At this time, there is no time frame for when construction will begin for both projects.

The dedicated plat was approved by the Planning Commission during Monday’s meeting.
