Algood City Administrator Keith Morrison said vendors are coming in and out, and that traffic is up at the City’s Farmers Market.
During a Thursday night work session, Morrison told aldermen more building materials are being delivered Friday.
“We’ve made good progress with that, and hopefully within the coming two weeks, you’ll start seeing that go up and we’ll make even more progress,” Morrison said.
Trusses for the new facility will be delivered next week. Morrison said he did not have a timetable on final roofing materials.
The city opened the market to vendors several weeks ago even before the completion of the facility. City officials believe the market can be a vibrant part of the community’s downtown area, encouraging more residents into that area.
