Jeremy Crabtree discusses his journey of purchasing and owning Poet’s Coffee.

Host Hal Alpiar is joined by Jeremy Crabtree, owner of Poet’s Coffee in Cookeville. They discuss his journey from working in the world of nonprofits to taking a chance with his wife and purchasing and owning Poet’s Coffee. Since then, the Poet’s name has expanded to several different locations and names, but still remains a well known name in the community as being a local meetup location for any occasion. They also discuss the unique challenges that come with purchasing an already established business, and how to go about making the necessary changes needed to turn a profit and stay afloat during and after any transitions.
