Crossville Woman Charged In Monday Night Crash

A Crossville woman suffered injuries after crashing her pickup truck during a pursuit Monday night.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol charged Allie Shea Brook Leffew with DUI, evading arrest, reckless driving, and improper passing.

A crash report said Leffew’s Chevy pickup truck ran off the left side of Austin Bottom Road, traveled up an earth embankment, and flipped back onto the roadway. A medical helicopter airlifted the 33-year-old to Vanderbilt Medical Center for treatment.

Officials said the incident began on Interstate 40 when State Troopers observed Leffew’s vehicle failing to maintain lane. The report said Leffew refused to pull over and took the 286 exit before traveling South on Burgess Falls Road.

Leffew turned right onto Cookeville Boat Dock Road before crashing the vehicle on Austin Bottom Road.
