A 19-hour search for a missing Cumberland County man has ended with positive news.
Rescue crews located Arthur “Pete” Peterson safely Monday afternoon. Officials said the 75-year-old suffers from dementia and went missing from his Sunset Ridge home Sunday afternoon.
Crews conducted an extensive search Sunday night with no success and additional manpower arrived Monday to assist with the search efforts.
Peterson went missing a little more than two years ago when he walked away from his home. During that incident, he was located 24-hours later.
