Enrollment at Vol State flat during the 2019 fall semester while Tennessee Tech enrollment fell slightly.
The numbers part of an overall 0.7 percent increase in enrollment statewide in both community colleges and universities as the fall semester began. The report released Thursday by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission.
Tennessee Tech reported a fall enrollment of 10,140 students, a decrease of 0.4 percent from last fall. Vol State Community College enrolled 9,150 students this fall semester.
Roane State Community College saw some of the strongest growth in the system with an enrollment increase of 3.2 percent over last fall.
The University of Tennessee at Knoxville reported a three percent increase in fall enrollment at some 29,000 students.
