The City of Cookeville will soon have a new fee for reviewing final plans of certain developments.
The fee would cover the planned residential development, planned commercial development, and redevelopment area overlay districts. John Ward is the Director of the Cookeville Planning Department.
“We currently don’t have any fees for the PRD, PCD, and RAO developments for the final plan approvals,” Ward said. “We don’t even have anything to cover our administrative cost for all the copies we have to make and everything like that. We’re proposing to add a $100 fee for the final plans of those three districts.”
City Council approved the first reading of the new fee during last week’s meeting. Council will consider the second reading at the October 17 city council meeting.
