Cornerstone Elementary will no longer be closing after crews fixed the air conditioning system.
Putnam County School District officials said students will now be attending class at Cornerstone as usual this week.
“Technicians were able to come in and make the needed repairs much sooner than anticipated,” said a Putnam County School System Facebook post. “Thanks to all faculty, staff, and parents who had prepared to move to an alternate location.”
The school system announced Tuesday that the school would close Wednesday and Thursday due to the AC problems. Students would have attended class at Baxter Primary School or Upperman Middle School for the next two days.
