Putnam County authorities closed the eastbound lanes of Interstate 40 after a tractor trailer overturned Thursday.
The incident happened at mile marker 297 between Cookeville and Monterey.
76-year-old John Bruzda was traveling East when the crash occurred. A Tennessee Highway Patrol crash report said the vehicle’s trailer started swaying, resulting in the vehicle flipping over and blocking both lanes.
Bruzda did not suffer any injuries and he was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
