A Monterey man suffered injuries during a single vehicle crash in Putnam County Wednesday.
An ambulance transported 76-year-old Hershel Jackson to Cookeville Regional Medical Center following the crash.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol said Jackson was traveling West on Highway 70 when the accident occurred. A crash report said Jackson’s vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway and struck multiple trees.
The report indicates that charges are pending the outcome of the crash investigation. Jackson was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
