A man faces charges after leading Monterey Police on a high-speed chase Tuesday night.
Officers charged Travis Ashby Atkins with reckless endangerment, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, and evading arrest.
Officials said the incident began when Atkins refused pull over for a tag violation. He allegedly increased speeds and ran several red lights before leading officers on a chase down Highway 84 to Livingston city limits.
The vehicle eventually stopped on Main Street after Overton County authorities used spike strips to disable to the vehicle.
A search of the vehicle yielded meth, marijuana, digital scales, money, and a rifle. Officers also charged Atkins with driving without a license, simple possession, and possession of a firearm during the commission or attempt to commit a dangerous felony.
A female passenger also faces charges for attempting to flee on foot when the vehicle became disabled.
