The Putnam County School System will investigate after Cookeville High School (CHS) students found a note threatening DeKalb County High School (DCHS).
Deputy Director of Schools Corby King said the school system notified DeKalb County authorities after students located the note inside a CHS classroom Monday.
DeKalb County Director of Schools Patrick Cripps said authorities searched DCHS last night and found nothing suspicious or threatening.
King said Tuesday that CHS administrators would speak to the students that were inside the classroom and in the vicinity of the desk where the note was found. If the student is identified, King said CHS would address the situation in accordance to board policy.
DeKalb County authorities increased security at schools last month after a threatening note was found inside a school restroom.
