Vol-State Community College Police are investigating allegations of an attempted abduction.
A press release indicates the incident took place at the Cookeville Campus on September 17.
At approximately 9:00 pm, a female student reported that a white male in his 40s approached her in the parking lot.
The male subject allegedly asked the woman to go to a party, which she replied no. The man then attempted to grab the woman.
He fled the parking lot into the woods near the third tier of the campus parking lot.
The Campus Police Department is seeking assistance from the community in identifying the suspect.
