A 76-year-old man could face charges for allegedly barricading himself inside a home during a domestic incident yesterday.
The Cumberland County SWAT team and multiple other agencies responded to the home on Russell Ridge Road just before 6 p.m.
A press release said James Reagan suffers from Alzheimer’s and at times becomes violent. Officers learned during the investigation that Reagan had barricaded himself inside a room with multiple weapons scattered throughout the home.
The release said negotiators established dialogue with Reagan and convinced him to surrender after two hours. He received a mental evaluation at Cumberland Medical Center and charges are pending from the incident.
No one suffered injuries during the incident.
