The Tennessee Highway Patrol on Saturday charged a Crossville man with his 3rd DUI offense.
State Troopers arrested Cody Gene Fenstermaker during a traffic stop on Interstate 40 in Putnam County.
Authorities stopped the defendant at mile marker 293 West for going 105 mph in a 65 mph zone. Trooper Jeff Brown’s report said Fenstermaker had red watery eyes and a “thick speech”.
Brown obtained a warrant for a blood sample after Fenstermaker refused to perform field sobriety tasks. He also chose not to submit a chemical test to determine the amount of alcohol or drugs in his system, according to the arrest report.
Fenstermaker has posted his bond amount and will appear in court on October 25.
