A fire caused damage to a home in White County Friday morning.
Sparta Fire Chief Kirk Young said multiple crews responded to a home on the 7000 block of Monterey Highway.
“It was a fire in the master suite and bathroom area and it extended into the hallway,” Young said. “It was extinguished by county and city firemen and it is under investigation at this time.”
The affected areas suffered heavy damage during the fire, but firefighters did manage to save the rest of the structure.
Young said no injuries occurred during the incident and the cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
“The county has their crew coming out to check and see the origins,” Young said. “It’s just standard procedure.”
A total of nine crews responded to help put out the fire.
