A Chapel Hill, Tennessee woman faces charges for a Friday morning wreck in Putnam County.
The crash happened around 10:00 a.m. on Interstate 40 eastbound at mile marker 294.
State Troopers charged 19-year-old Emma Strasser with due care after her 2008 Nissan Sentra rear-ended another vehicle. A THP crash report said Strasser was unable to stop when traffic in front of her vehicle began slowing down.
Both vehicles came to a final rest in the left lane after the collision occurred. The crash caused traffic to back up for several miles as crews worked to clear the roadway.
