Obituaries For Wednesday, August 14

Diann Marie Bennett, 55 of Gainesboro, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2019, at Saint Thomas Mid Town Hospital in Nashville. Diann was born Monday, April 13, 1964, in Minot, North Dakota. She was the daughter of Billy Mayberry Palmer and Sarah Ruth (Palmer) Palmer. Diann was a loving Daughter, Mom, and Nana. Diann is survived by: 4 Children: Robert and Ana Hester, Andrew and Brittany Hester, Melissa Hester, and Matthew Hester; 9 Grandchildren: Nicolas, Gabriel, Jacob, Brysen, Willow, Bailea, Valentina, Bruce, and Baby On The Way; Mother: Sarah Ruth Palmer; Father: Billy Mayberry Palmer; Brother: Michael Craig Palmer. Diann chose cremation, the family followed her wishes, and a Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Reva Smith Brown, age 85, of the Summer Shade Community in Allons will be conducted 11 am., Friday, August 16, 2019 from the chapel of the Livingston Funeral Home. Bro. Carlie Conner will officiate. Burial to follow in the Fellowship Cemetery. Reva passed from this life on Tuesday morning, August 13, 2019 from the Overton County Health & Rehab. She was born in Clay County, on September 15, 1933 to the late Lewis Thomas & Etress Fite Smith. Reva loved God and attending Church at Summer Shade Church of Christ. She married the love of her life, Charlie Truman Brown on May 27, 1952, and just celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary. Reva enjoyed cooking, especially on Sundays when her family would gather around her table after church. She also enjoyed making quilts, always having one prepared for the special moments in her family’s lives. Gardening was another passion of hers. Truman and Reva worked tirelessly raising not one but two to three gardens. She believed nothing should go to waste and did enough canning and freezing to share with everyone. Reva leaves behind her loving husband, Truman Brown of the Summer Shade Community; son, Donnie Brown of Livingston; daughters, Vickie Brown Dodson & husband Randy of Livingston, and Peggy Brown McCullom & husband Jeff of Hixson; grandchildren, David Dodson of Mt. Juliet, Amanda Dodson Masters & husband Chad of Rickman, and Megan McCullom Grant & husband Jarred of Hixson; great-grandchildren, Briley Masters, Rylan Masters, and Jaxon Grant; sisters, Oleta Collins of Livingston, and Marie Sullivan of Cookeville; special friend, Doug Reagan of the Summer Shade Community, and a host of family and friends. In addition to her parents, Reva was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Smith. The family will welcome friends on Thursday evening from 5 until 9 p.m. at Livingston Funeral Home.

Funeral Service for Stevi Rennaye (Jenkins) Moore, age 31 of Cookeville, will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 17, 2019, at Crest Lawn Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. She passed from this life on Sunday, August 11, 2019, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Stevi was born Friday, November 27, 1987, in Hampton, Virginia. She was the daughter of Steven Wayne Farley and Sharon Rene (Baker) Jenkins. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, August 16, 2019 at Crest Lawn Funeral Home, and again 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 17, 2019, at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Edwina Carwile Winningham Branham, age 94, of Hilham, will be conducted 2 p.m., Sunday, August 18, 2019 from the Hilham Church of Christ, where her body will lie in repose from 1 p.m. until time of services. Burial to follow in the Hilham Cemetery. Edwina passed from this life on Wednesday morning, August 14, 2019 from the Signature Health Care in Algood. She was born in Overton County on January 11, 1925 to the late Oscar & Magnolia Morgan Carwile. The family will welcome friends on Saturday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at Speck Funeral Home.
