Authorities arrested a Cookeville man Monday on charges that he strangled his ex-girlfriend last month.
Cookeville Police charged 32-year-old Susej Will Riddle with aggravated assault. He has not posted his $35,000 bond.
Riddle allegedly strangled the victim on July 24, causing her to lose consciousness. An arrest report said Riddle fled the scene after a witness intervened and pulled him off the woman.
The report noted that Riddle had two previous aggravated assault charges against the woman. Authorities charged him with domestic assault against the same victim in 2018.
Riddle has a court date scheduled for Thursday.
