Forbes Names Averitt Among Top Large Companies In America

Forbes has named Averitt Express as one of the nation’s best large employers for 2019.

According to a press release from Averitt, the list of 500 companies nationwide is based on survey results asking employees how likely they were to recommend their company to others.

Averitt ranks 311th nationwide among companies with more than 5,000 employees and among the top 11 in the transportation and logistics industry.

According to Forbes’s list, Averitt ranked higher than employers such as UPS, American Airlines, and the U.S. Department of Justice. Nearly 50,000 employees nationwide were asked to participate in the survey and even nominate companies outside their own industry.

Trader Joe’s, Southwest Airlines, Lilly, Costco, and Garmin were the top-five large employers according to Forbes’s rankings.
