Livingston T-Hangar Lease to Bring Improvements

A new T-Hangar lease agreement will bring improvements to the Livingston Municipal Airport.

Mayor Curtis Hayes said the lease with Johnny Coleman will benefit the airport and Livingston.

“For exchange for some improvements, much-needed improvements, the city will not be out of any money out of pocket,” Hayes said. “In return, we will credit the rent of $500 not exceeding $10,000 in improvements.”

Hayes said the rent will begin at $500 a month once Coleman completes the intended renovations.

“He will be bringing receipts into city hall to make sure,” Hayes said. “You know, it may just be $7,500 but not to exceed $10,000.”

The hangar can store 5 planes at approximately $100 per plane.

Alderman Ronald Dishman said the lease seemed like a great deal.

“What I like about the idea is the improvement of the hangar that needs attention anyway,” Dishman said. “So it’s not like it’s nothing. We are getting improvement on the hangar.”

The Livingston Board of Aldermen and Mayor approved the lease Monday.
