A Putnam County man in custody charged with second degree murder after a Thursday night domestic assault.
38-year old Andrew Ray Price charged with second degree murder, aggravated assault, felony theft and violation of bond. Police captured Price Thursday morning after pursuing him overnight.
Investigators said Price got into an argument with 22-year old Kelsey Alexis Lamb Wednesday. During the argument, Price stabbed Lamb and assaulted her. She died at Cookeville Regional Hospital shortly after arrival.
Another woman, Kayla Dailey, intervened in the argument. Police say Price stabbed Dailey as well. Responders transported Daily to Cookeville Regional where she was treated and released.
After stabbing the two women, Price fled in Dailey’s car, the Infinity Sedan, from the home at 702 Foundation Drive.
Price’s violation of bond stems from a previous domestic incident involving Lamb.
Police spent the overnight searching for 38-year old Andrew Ray Price in the Clay County area. Authorities from multiple agencies have been in pursuit of Price since the incident happened.
