Livingston Man Faces Controlled Substance Charge

A Livingston man faces a charge of possession of a controlled substance Saturday.

Cookeville police made contact with 42-year-old Edward Louis Randolph at the Eastwood Inn. Officers were investigating possible drug possession at the Inn.

Authorities approached room 118 after observing a male subject go into the room. The room renter gave permission for the officers to enter the room.

Officers observed Randolph in a chair adjacent to the bathroom. Under the chair, authorities located an Altoids can with 5.1 grams of a white substance believed to be cocaine.

Authorities also found a multicolored glass pipe with marijuana residue.

Officials booked Randolph into the Putnam County Jail on a $2,000 bond. Randolph has since posted bail. Randolph will appear in court on February 11.
