The Fentress County Commission hopes to begin the building process for an agriculture pavilion.
County Executive Jimmy Johnson said he wants to bring a pavilion to Fentress.
“We are in the process of hopefully getting this AG pavilion up here. I don’t know for sure what all steps we take on that,” Johnson said. “But that is what that there is about, trying to figure some way to get us an AG pavilion up here.”
Johnson said he wants to give local youth a chance to use an agricultural pavilion within the county limits.
“We have a lot of youth that participates in a lot of 4-H and FFA and that type of stuff,” Johnson said. “We are going to try to build around a lot of our youth here in the county.”
Johnson said the county would most likely build the pavilion on the property near the Jamestown Municipal Airport. Johnson said voting on the pavilion should begin in January or February.
