A single-vehicle wreck this morning revealed to involve a stolen car from Cookeville.
Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle wreck this morning on I-40.
Monterey man, Charles King, 41, was traveling westbound on I-40 in the left lane.
Around 3:46 am, King drove off the left side of the road and struck a cable barrier. The 2009 Toyota Corolla began to spin while crossing the center.
King continued to travel off the right side of the road and came to a final rest.
Putnam County EMS transported King to Cookeville Regional for injuries.
The 2009 Toyota Corolla was later reported stolen through Cookeville City Police.
Reports state the vehicle was stolen from the Southern Motel in Cookeville.
Officials will continue to investigate. Charges remain pending for King.
