A Putnam County Highway 111 crash resulted in the life-flight of a Cookeville man this afternoon.
Bobby Joe Blanton, 43, of Maidsville, West Virginia was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu with Robin Young, 55, of Cookeville.
Blanton and Young were traveling northbound on Highway 111 when the vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway.
According to the report, Blanton overcorrected and lost control of the vehicle.
The Chevrolet traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a standing tree before coming to a rest.
Young was life-flighted to Vanderbilt around 12:43 pm. EMS ground transported Blanton to Cookeville Regional.
Young’s condition is unknown at this time. Both men were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
