South Carolina Man Charged with Theft of Vehicle

Monterey City Police added an additional theft charge onto a South Carolina man yesterday.

Officials initially arrested Nickolas Donaldson of Chester, SC, 35, for the possession of methamphetamine and public intoxication on September 8.

At the time of arrest, Donaldson was in possession of a 2012 Nissan Versa.

Records show a woman reported the Nissan Versa as stolen out of Chester.

Authorities valued the stolen car at approximately 12 thousand dollars.

The Putnam County Jail placed an additional 35 thousand dollar bond onto Donaldson.

At this time, restitution remains undetermined.
