An Algood man faces multiple charges for evading arrest and intentionally preventing or obstructing an officer.
Officers were traveling on Fisk Road this morning when they observed a car leaving a residence at a high speed. Warrants state the driver used an obscene hand gesture as well.
Authorities stopped at the residence and found Damien Phy, 25, in the front yard bleeding from his left ear.
Officers asked Phy if an altercation took place. According to arrest warrants, Phy refused to give his name and ran into the house.
A records check showed Phy had active warrants for failure to appear.
Phy’s father allowed officers inside the residence. Authorities tried to all Phy out of his room.
The report states Phy had several knives on his person but refused to show officers his hands.
Finally, officers forcefully pulled Phy out from under his bed.
Reportedly, Phy still refused to cooperate.
Phy is being held in the Putnam County Jail on a 2,500 bond.
