Fentress County voters have elected Jimmy Johnson for the County Executive.
Johnson said business will remain his main focus.
“I told the people, I said, if you have a business you are going to be thanked for that business. We are going to have everyone’s number,” Johnson said. “And we are going to collect all of that with our business license. If anything comes through as a bid or a contract or something, they are going to know it firsthand. ”
Fentress County needs better infrastructure which will lead to more business, Johnson said.
“We need a road up here. We have a good road, I mean it is maintained good,” Johnson said. “But we need something that people say, ‘Yeah, you have a good road. We want to come in a work for you.’ And we aren’t wanting, you know, sure we would love a big factory, but we want a piece of the cake to start with.”
Johnson said there will be no rest for him anytime soon.
