Fimiani Development Corporation continues to prepare Willow Tree Plaza for new tenants.
Michael Fimiani is president of Fimiani Development.
“We have already painted the entire shopping center and new roofs. Now we are doing some major parking lot repairs and will be sealing and striping the parking lot,” Fimiani said. “And we are also installing a brand new lit pylon sign. And we are installing brand new LED parking lot lighting, which will double the amount of light output in the parking lot.”
The Florida-based corporation bought Willow Tree Plaza Shopping center last year.
A couple of tenants expressed interest in the available spaces, Fimiani said.
“So we hopefully will be announcing those in about the next thirty days. And we are certainly actively looking for new tenants to fill in the balance of the shopping center,” Fimiani said. “We have great incentives, free rent, and some tenant improvement money in order to attract some good quality tenants.”
Fimiani said the cost of renovations will reach a couple of million dollars.
“The end goal is to be at 100 percent occupancy, have a great tenant mix with successful tenants,” Fimiani said. “The existing tenants that are there are already all very very successful and they have all been there long-term.”
Fimiani said the company looks for new tenants that either want to relocate or expand.
“We feel confident that it is a good project in a great part of town. And Cookeville is growing, obviously with the University continuing to grow, the regional hospital being in town,” Fimiani said. “It’s a good base and we look forward to owning and operating the shopping center for a long period of time.”
The Willow Tree Plaza is the corporation’s first project in Tennessee.
