Mrs. Pauline Cook, age 82 of Cookeville, died Monday evening, May 21st at Signature Healthcare of Putnam County. Arrangements for Ms. Cook are incomplete.
Graveside services for Ronald Lee Herndon, age 50, of Cookeville will be held Wednesday, May 23rd, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Bethel Church Cemetery in Abingdon, Virginia. Interment will follow in Bethel Church Cemetery. Ronald Lee Herndon passed away Saturday, May 19, 2018 at his home in Cookeville, Tennessee following extended illness. He was born Tuesday, October 17, 1967 in Johnson City to the late Calvin Herndon and France Arlene Keen Herndon. He is survived by: his wife Crystal Herndon; daughters, Courtney Herndon of Bristol, Tennessee and Chasity Herndon of Cookeville; step-son, Cory Riner of St. Paul, Virginia; sixteen brothers and sisters; best friend, Ron Morrison of Cookeville. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Presley Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
Graveside service and interment for Frank Kenneth Herald, 87, of Baxter, will be Wednesday, May 23 at 1:30 PM at Palmer Cemetery in Silver Point. Mr. Herald died Monday morning May 21, 2018 at his home. He was born November 12, 1930 in the Cherry Hill Community of DeKalb County. to the late Nulin and Maggie Maynard Herald. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant sister Mary Ruth Herald, brothers Ralph Herald and Hunter “HOWARD” Herald. He retired as operator engineer public relations in pipeline construction. He was a Teamster with Ready Mix in Detroit. Frank enjoyed golf and riding his lawn mower. He was an avid sports fan, going to local sporting events and watching on TV. He was a passionate Atlanta Braves fan. Survivors include his wife of 69 years (Married September 18, 1948 in Rossville, GA) Wanda Ashburn Herald of Baxter, daughter Carol (Richard) Biniecki of Cookeville, sons Donnie (Jenny) Herald of Cookeville, Jeff ( Joetta) Herald of Baxter, Rod Herald of Decatur, AL, brother Dwight (Sue) Herald of Cookeville, grandchildren: Alissa (T.J) Fetcho, Kevin (Andrea) Herald, Kelly Herald and partner Victoria Edmonds, Kyle Herald, Kris Herald, Justin Herald and partner Stephen Curtis, Jason (Jordan) Herald, Betty Herald, 13 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10 AM until 1 PM.

Private Graveside Services will be held Friday, May 25, 2018 at Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Ruby passed from this life on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at Bethesda Health Care Center in Cookeville. Ruby was born Sunday, November 16, 1930 in Sneedville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Ellis and Betty Johnson. Ruby was a loving wife, mom, and mawmaw. She was a hairdresser for fifteen years. Ruby was a member of State Line Baptist Church in Kingsport for 30 plus years and when she moved to Cookeville she attended Stevens Street Baptist Church. She was a Sunday school teacher for 40 plus years. Ruby loved her personal walk with God. Ruby is survived by: Daughter: Judy and Richard Dyer; Son: Jerry and Kimberly Wilder; Grandchild: Denice and Patrick Rinks; Great-Grandchild: Alex Rinks. In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by: Husband, Willard Wilder. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, May 24, 2018, at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.
