Over 850 students will walk the stage at Tennessee Tech’s Hooper-Eblen Center for graduation ceremonies Saturday.
The university reports this semester’s graduating class will feature students from 73 Tennessee counties, 24 states, and 28 other countries.
Graduates receiving degrees in arts and sciences, engineering, inter discipline studies, and nursing programs will take part in the 9:30 a.m. commencement. Those with degrees in agriculture and human ecology, business, and education programs will walk at 2 p.m.
This semester’s commencement ceremonies will feature guest speaker and 1994 graduate Sarah J. Cripps. She has operated and maintained her own solo law firm for 20 years in Smithville.
Cripps also made history by becoming the first totally-blind student to have been mainstreamed in the Tennessee public school system during her secondary school career.
