Boyd Receives Raise and Contract Extension

The Putnam County Board of Education has given Director of Schools Jerry Boyd a positive evaluation and renewed his contract through 2020.

The board has also voted to give Boyd a raise, setting his salary at $106,000. The contract also provides a $5,000 bonus if Boyd finishes his doctorate degree within the next 12-months. He would also receive a $2,500 bonus if the school system receives an exemplary status.

Boyd received a 4.6 evaluation score out of a 5 point scoring system.
