An unidentified female had to be brought out of Window Cliffs Natural Area on an ATV Thursday afternoon.
Putnam County Emergency Management Director Tyler Smith said the woman may have suffered a broken ankle.
The woman was near the sixth stream crossing in the park, Smith said. Emergency crews were able to get to her on an ATV and bring her out the same way, Smith said.
Smith said hikers need to be aware on the trails.
“Just rugged terrain and people need to be cautious when they’re hiking, there’s a lot of areas you can twist ankles,” Smith said.
This is the second incident at Window Cliffs this week.
Tuesday, 60-year-old Burnis Page of Gulfport, Miss. collapsed and died on a trail at the park.
