The utility work on Willow Avenue may be complete, but there’s a whole lot of work left to be done.
TDOT spokesman Jennifer Flynn said the road will be paved before Halloween.
On August 21, Nashville’s Rogers Group will begin nighttime construction to make the sidewalks compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. They’ll also repair storm drains.
Milling and paving won’t begin until September 24, Flynn said.
Flynn said nearly two miles of Willow Avenue will be paved. Work will begin south of Jackson Street and continue to just north of Gainesboro Grade.
She said work will be done overnight, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. and lane closures will only happen during those times. No lane closures will be allowed during special events, holidays or holiday weekends, Flynn said.
