White County Teen Reported Missing

A 16-year-old White County teen was reported missing to the White County Sheriff’s Office Wednesday.

Shayna Marie Bumbalough was last seen around 10:45 p.m. Tuesday night. A truck was found crashed along Three Island Road in White County belonging to her father.

White County PIO Melissa Worthington said Bumbalough may have been spotted near the White County and DeKalb County line. White County Sheriff’s Office has contacted DeKalb County officials to stay alert for the missing teen.

“[Officers] continued to search in the area, especially where the vehicle was located,” Worthington said. “[Officers] have been going door-to-door asking people to just kind of be extra vigilant of anybody that could be walking down the road, through backyards, hiding in barns, anything at this point.”

Worthington said officials are continuing to search for Shayna. She urges anyone with information on the Bumbalough’s whereabouts to contact authorities immediately.

“We’ve had a lot of rain and it’s not the most ideal weather conditions, but we still have a job to do and bring this child home,” Worthington said. “Please don’t hesitate to call if you see anything.”

Bumbalough is described as a 5-foot-5-inch white female weighing approximately 120 lbs. She was last seen wearing black leggings, a white shirt, gray hoodie, and with a black FOX backpack.

Worthington said Bumbalough was reported as a runaway following a domestic dispute at her home.
