White County Schools will return to class fully in-person on August 6th.
Director of Schools Kurt Dronebarger said students will not have a virtual option for learning.
“We do not intend to require masks although masks will be optional for the ones that want to wear them,” Dronebarger said. “We do not intend to require quarantining of any close contacts. Obviously if someone contracts COVID-19, they will be asked to remain at home.”
Dronebarger said close contacts to positive cases will be notified for safety as contact tracing will continue. Dronebarger said vaccinations will not be required for students or staff.
Dronebarger said an official layout with more details of the back to school plan will be shared on the district website this week.
