Classes began as scheduled in White County Monday.
Director of Schools Kurt Dronebarger said the day began without a hitch.
“I think buses all ran, everybody was picked up, didn’t miss anybody to my knowledge, got in before the rain hit today and kids are in school and teachers are teaching,” Dronebarger said.
Building projects at Doyle and Woodland Park elementary schools didn’t even get in the way.
“We’re just proud we’re up and running, no major concerns, we had some really big building projects that came down to the wire but they got finished up and cleaned up and everybody’s in school and doing well,” Dronebarger said.
Doyle’s HVAC system continues to be worked on, but work has moved out of the classrooms and hallways. Repair work on floors was just completed at Woodland Park, he said.
