The White County Planning Commission approved four final subdivision plats on Tuesday night.

The largest being 23 new lots on North Spring Street and Charles Golden Road. Planner Tommy Lee said the developer provided two cashier checks guaranteeing the infrastructure needed to serve that area will be installed.

“It’s insurance as a purchaser of property that these lots will have the water line, the fire hydrants and the access to a county road available,” Lee said. “At some time within in the next year or so.”

The lots will need a proposed six inch water line, three new fire hydrants and a proposed county road called Day Lilly Drive.

Lee said the lots at this location will range from under an acre to just over three acres. He said the planning commission also approved the final plat creating 10 new lots on Old Kentucky Road and Lowery Road.

All the new lots are currently vacant at these two subdivisions. Lee said the the other two approved subdivisions contained one new lot each.
